I don’t have to deal with egg nog, I drink glögi.
The main classic ingredients are (usually) red wine, sugar, spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves and bitter orange, and optionally also stronger spirits such as vodka, akvavit or brandy.
You could really fuck with people by trying to replace all those spices by boozes with those flavors. Off the top of my head, you could replace the cinnamon with Goldschlager and the bitter orange with Campari. MORE BOOZE.
